    AT ECC, OUR GOAL IS TO BE:

         Christ Centered,  Bible-Based,  and Spirit Powered.

  We are an independent church trying to be like Jesus, both individually and as a group.  We're not affiliated with any denomination;  we work with churches of many denominations in a community  service to help the needy.		  
 
     OUR CHURCH BELIEVES. . .

     that there is one God, the almighty maker of the universe revealed in the Bible; that God made people   in His image so that we could live with Him in a relationship of mutual love.  But each of us make  choices that break down that relationship, wanting to call the shots ourselves, rather than accept our  others wise and loving leadership.

     Because of our selfishness and sin, God had every right to bring upon us the consequences of our  rebellion.  But God loved us so much that He sent His one and only Son, Jesus the Messiah.  He was born to a virgin, Mary and lived a sinless life.  He showed us how we were meant to be.  Then, selfish people killed him on the Cross, where He willingly took on the just punishment for all of our sinful choices.  Three days later he rose from the dead to show that the victory was won.

Now, if we follow Jesus and commit our lives to Him through baptism, we can share in the forgiveness He made possible at the Cross.  That also means giving up our self-centered ways and adopting a Jesus-centered life, living for Him.  One day God will send His Son back to take His followers to Heaven forever to be with Him in person.  Sadly, those people who have never accepted his forgiveness will reap the full consequences of life without God.

We baptize only believers, not babies, because we don't believe that babies are born sinful- sin is just the Bible word for choices that hurt God.  We seek first and foremost to love God and others, to live and give like Jesus every day, in every way.
